200000 Crore To Construct Highways and Ports Near Dholera SIR

The Indian Government is leaving no shortage in delivering anything that is required for the development of Dholera SIR (special investment region). Distributing the contract for various tasks has been started. The latest news on dholera sir was that WIPRO will be the ICT consultant. Now it is confirmed that the NHA (Nation Highway Authority) India has taken the contract to complete the 256 KM. 4 lane road from dholera sir to the pilgrimage town of somnath along with Bhavnagar in 4 years. The estimated cost of this project is 4876 crore.

Total 200000 crore has been allocated by the Government for constructing the roads and ports in next 3 years. Also according to Mr. Gadkari the proposal of converting 7 roads of length 756 Km. into highway is in the consideration. The central government is expected to send the approval anytime sooner.

The recent Dholera Sir news also stated that soon there will be a bridge between OKHA and Bet-Dwarka. The estimated cost for this task is 490 crore.

The work of 210 km long highway will commence from August 2016.

The main part is that the road which connects this SIR project and Ahmedabad will be converted into 6 lane highway, said Gadkari.

Gadkari recently had a meeting with the Cheif Minister of Gujarat and discussed more is yet to come in the near future.
