Among them are building an airport, a highway from Ahmedabad to Dholera, and a railway line linking the area to the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor.
According to a press release, the chief minister asked the supreme court to take Mandal-Bechraji SIR into consideration for the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) and requested the requisite clearances for the Ahmedabad-Dholera Semi High Speed Train project. Informing the ministers of the advancements made in the creation of Dholera SIR, a greenfield industrial smart city close to Ahmedabad, Patel stated that the process of allocating plots to industrial entities has already started and that various facilities in the SIR’s activation area are almost complete. According to Patel, Dholera SIR has drawn investment for the manufacturing of semiconductors, electric vehicle batteries, solar cells, and aerospace parts.
According to the press release, he indicated that 600 homes will be constructed in the SIR’s activation area utilising the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’s model for affordable rental housing.
